The downtown Worcester transmitters for Troubadour 1710 and Liberty & Justice 1640 are off the air due to either transmitter failure or a deterioration in performance. The signals only covered a few blocks of downtown and provided considerably less coverage than expected. The ASMAX2 AM Stereo transmitters were shipped back to the manufacturer in Greece for testing and repair. New transmitter housing will be required once they return and more experimentation with the repaired ASMAX2's will be needed to discover the cause of the poor signal coverage.
Co-sited Part 15 AM station Expresso Latin Radio 1620 has reverted to its original Procaster transmitter while its ASMAX2 is also being checked or repaired.
